The people of Alreton have been plagued by a mysterious disease that has already claimed the lives of several of the inhabitants, among them many children. The villagers are desperate, desperate enough, in fact, to turn to the band of outlaws that dwells in the neighbouring Sherwood Forest and that have a reputation for bringing hope to the common folk when all hope is lost.
Rumour has it, that the Sheriff of Nottingham keeps a physician, a man of great learning who may know the remedy to cure the sickness. Trouble is, he never leaves Nottingham Castle…
