An explosion breaches the walled town of Middleriver, and the Infected pour in. Your role as Gold Command is to seal the breach, evacuate where necessary, and restore order. There is clearly some other forces at work here, as mysterious sightings are reported at the breach.
( This is a political/social PvP game, as members of Gold Command try to push their own agendas and either gain from, or exploit the tragedy to their own benefit. The ‘party’ all stay in Gold Command, and use their contacts/resources to influence the map of Middleriver. Effectively investigation by proxy, but who can you trust? )
