GMs and Freeform LARP writers – Continuum needs your games!
We are now in the process of putting together our roster of Freeform LARPs for July 2026, and we very much welcome submission bids from you for one of the timetable slots. There is space this year for at least 14 games – of all shapes and sizes – with the potential for more if desired. The venue is very flexible. Indeed in some cases games can even be catered with food if appropriate.
For more general information about what Continuum is looking for from Freeform LARPs please see our FAQ page.
I have a Freeform LARP ready, how do I bid?
That’s excellent news! In the first instance please contact the Freeform Tsar. They will be able to clarify any questions you may have. But at the very least they will be wanting to know some basic details about your game. That’s pretty much the advertising pitch that will be eventually posted on Continuum’s List of Freeforms for 2026 page. And that includes:
- Game Title
- Genre
- Game Description (2-3 paragraphs)
- Expected duration [don’t feel overly hide-bound by game slot timings]
- Lead GM
- Player numbers/breakdown (x female; y male; z neutral)
How does Continuum assess a game bid?
Here are some of the criteria that we are likely to use when deciding to accept your bid:
- Does the game look interesting?
- Does it look like a game that people will enjoy?
- Is it a game that’s different from games already accepted for the convention?
- Is this a game that helps to create a rich and varied mix of games at the con?
- Do the game space and time requirements fit within the Continuum budget for space and time?
- Will the game bring new people into the con?
The more of those boxes that you can check off, then the better your chances. But even so, don’t feel shy about making a bid; we do try to be as accommodating as possible.
Continuum really appreciates the time and effort that Freeform GMs (actually all GMs!) make even when proposing a game, so a big thank you is due now at this stage. We look forward very much to hearing what you have to offer.
