PANTHEONS was published in 1984 by Chester Hendrix, under license from Greg Stafford. It’s now so little-known that even Rick Meints doesn’t have a copy! But one set has resurfaced, and for Continuum I’m going to revive it, refresh it (working directly with the game’s creator), and run it. Is it any good? There’s only one way to find out! Here is the game intro:
PANTHEONS is a dice and card game for 3-10 players. Each player takes the part of a Major Deity in the cosmic struggle to be the superior God amongst powerful peers. In your struggles for supremacy, you will use mortal creatures to further your position and recruit powerful heroes whom you can anoint to the status of Minor God, thus creating a powerful base of followers that will allow you to attack your brother and sister deities until you alone reach perfection amongst ALL the Gods – thus ruling the ultimate PANTHEON!!
